A bound volume of 12 monthly issues of this uncommon Regency-era magazine for women, spanning January to December, 1817. Featuring articles covering general interest stories, the arts, music, 'society' life and contemporary fashion. Bound in contemporary half-calf with marble paper sides and gold lines across the spine. Extremities of the binding rubbed. A 3cm split at the top of the front hinge and a split along most of the length of the rear hinge but with the covers still firmly attached. Upper head cap rubbed away. A small piece of leather missing from the bottom and also the top of the spine. A moderate water stain affecting the foredge of all of the portrait plates. Lacking the hand coloured plate for November and the portrait plate for October as noted above. Otherwise, a clean copy with bright hand colouring, the text block sound and the binding in reasonably good condition. NB The price of this item is negotiable dependent on your chosen payment method.
