The eccentric, though aging, Pennant describes himself as 'the late' on the title page, though he would actually live a further five years, and it is his rather his literary career referenced to having ended. With Cornish of Francis Enys [1753-1821], one time owner and improver of the famous Cornish estate that carries his name.
