**Egg plates ONLY** All original 27 egg plates from Campbell's major book "Nests and Eggs of Australian birds" in custom-made quarter-leather case, with the original pictorial cloth upper board laid down over new board, original title page (with the date of '1900') laid down on front front pastedown with some foxing at bottom of page. One plate (no. 15) has a small tick mark next to an egg, and two plates have a small 'x' in the outside margin, well outside the plate area; otherwise all are clean and in excellent condition, enclosed within a leather back custom case. The beautiful colour illustrated plates, after Brittlebank, from Campbell's ornithological and oological classic. Many egg varities are depicted, in a wide variety of colours and shapes.
