A Rare Original Letter Written and Signed by Artist Sir Joseph Noel Paton to D O Hill the Secretary President of the Council of the RSA. Dated 1865. A letter accepting a meeting with President of the Council of the RSA. President of the Council of the RSA so probably the future King of England Edward VII. Sir Joseph Noel Paton 1821-1901 was a Scottish artist, illustrator and sculptor. He was also a poet and had an interest in, and knowledge of, Scottish folklore and Celtic legends. From a autograph book kept by A. P. Watt (1834-1914), founder of A. P. Watt & Son in 1875, the world's first literary agents. Size is 115m x 93mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases.
