Light rubbing and wear to exteriors, primarily along edges and corners. Hinges remain in good condition, with minor wear adjacent to title page of Volume I. Text blocks remain bound well. Small section of publisher’s other volumes at rear of Volume II. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. A scarce 1st edition of the life of George “Beau” Brummell, a major fashion icon in Regency England and former close friend of the future King George IV.
