Very rare original antique 1843 botany book, "The Botanist's Manual, and Woodland Companion: containing a Familiar Introduction to The Science of Botany, and Vegetable Physiology; with the Natural History and various uses of British Forest Trees." The book is overall in good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It is bound in somewhat flexible cloth covered boards. The covers have some mild wear. The binding is good and sound. There is a name inscription to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age with some occasional light foxing and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, light bit of soiling, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book is a small slim volume which measures approximately 6 1/2 inches by 4 inches and is 60+64+60 pages long.
