Ivalu The Eskimo Wife Peter Frauchen

1st printing of this early novel by anthropologist, explorer, and novelist Peter Frauchen. Clean and well bound copy, very well kept overall with one overarching flaw being that it came from the home of a tobacco smoker, thus causing some darkening to the DJ spine as well as a very faint odor, although neither are very extreme, with the odor mixing evenly with that of any other 100 year old book. Dustjacket now in brodart. Along with the aforementioned darkening to the spine there is some very light occasional rubbing on the front panel. and some moderate creasing on the rear panel. Teeny chips at the top edge at the crown of the DJ spine. The cover illustration is still bright and bold. The pictorial boards underneath the DJ are quite wonderful with debossed silver design and bold red lettering, all quite clean and fine as are the boards themselves. Binding is sturdy, solid, sound. Interior is clean, though slightly age toned. No marks or blemishes at all.
