From the top ranch hand Butter Jorgensen, Pete first hears of the mouse-gray stallion. Pete's father sends him out with 'Butter' to trail the wild horses who've chased off the D.C.s cattle and made themselves a home around Double Circle's best water hole and grazing lands.
