Panamanian Scarabaeinae: Taxonomy, Distribution, And Habits (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae) Howden, H. F. & Young, O. P.

Twenty-one genera of Scarabaeinae that occur in Panama are briefly reviewed. In addition the genus Cryptocanthon is included since it occurs on either side of Panama. A total of 113 species are recognized with twenty-eight described as new. The old and new taxa are listed below the contents. Zoogeographic and ecological data were compiled from a total of 7113 Panamanian specimens bearing accurate data.
