Has been lightly folded into quarters. Very clean except for moderate edge wear and light toning. Very Good Condition. Highly detailed map showing mines and ditches along the Tuolumne River in the Sierra Nevada and foothills. The towns shown include Sonora, Jamestown, Chinese Camp, Columbia, Summersville, Cherokee, Big Oak Flat, Confidence, and Groveland. Of note is the pleasing touch of 6 tree vignettes: White Oak, Black Oak, Scrub Pine, Red Pine, Sugar Pine and Fir. Lumber, of course, was critical to most mining operations. Scale is one mile to one inch. Produced as a stand alone map--not for an atlas. Will ship in its lightly folded format, in a box to protect the map.
