[B08-145] Very interesting introduction and history of the “science” of phrenology which, as a practice, remained popular up into the first several decades of the 20th century. Spurzheim was very instrumental in the popularization of phrenology in America in the early to mid-parts of the 19th century. Other early pioneers and promoters of phrenology are well described with excerpts from their writings.
