A good 2-volume hardback set, but with some quite severe sunning to the spines (see images). Volume 1 was published in 1896, volume 2 in 1897. A couple of the plates in the opening volume are out of sequence, and there is a bit of damage to the right-hand margin of plate 28, which does not affect the image (pictured). There is a bit of soiling to the recto of the frontispiece of volume 2. The attractive coloured illustrations of monkeys are in clean and fresh condition. Collated and complete.
