Operating Under The Power Of The Holy Spirit

"It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life. Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life."(John 6:63,68). Our last message was: "Faith is a spiritual force" that grows and develops in the heart or spirit of man. This means faith not of our mind. It is not of our flesh, it is not an intellectual agreement; it is not a mental assent. The mental assent recognizes the truthfulness of the Gospel, but never acts upon it. It confesses: "There is healing in the Word, there is salvation in the word, there is blessing in the word" but does not act upon it. That is the mental assent. The Bible is saying here that God's word is Spirit and life. It means it is the very life of God in those words that heals, blesses, delivers, and saves.
