Beautiful original Victorian copy of Andersen s Fairy Tales in overall very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. There's no printed publishing date but inscriptions to the front pastedown & flyleaf are dated 1885. The covers only have some light wear. There is some partial minor cracking to front interior hinge, but the binding is good and sound. There are a few tiny chips & tears to edges of free endpapers and a bookplate is adhered to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age but mostly nice and clean with the just the occasional light bit of foxing & grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, other tiny chip or nick, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 inches and is 380 pages long with some nice black and white plates.
