Unread. Leather wrapped spine with raised bands. Gilt page edges. Marbled endpapers. No markings in book. Binding is fine. Fold out map has never been folded out. Chapters include: The Century March of the Cossacks; The Kamchutka s; Death of Bering; The Swarming of the Promyshleniki; Exploration and Trade; The Billings Scientific Colonization and Missions; Founding of Sitka; The Sitka Massacre; Foreign Ventures and the Ross Colony, etc. There is perhaps a stain on the bottom spine edge which discolored the gilt on the bottom page edges near the spine. The stain on the bottom spine edge I didn't really notice until I saw the discoloration of the gilt. There are no stains on the inside of the pages, just to the gilt on the page edges.
