4to. handmade paper wrappers. (12) pages. With an introduction by Caroline Archer-Parré, Professor of Typography at the Centre for Printing History & Culture, Birmingham City University. Printed in an edition limited to 148 numbered copies, of which this is one of 100 numbered softbound copies. A fine copy. Printed in three difference versions of Baskerville: 12 pt Alcuin Baskerville, based on standard Monotype Baskerville but with longer ascenders, the required matrices made for the Alcuin Press of Chipping Campden in 1929. The 18 pt italic is Monotype (1928), and the 24 pt roman is Fry's Baskerville, the matrices of which were cut by Isaac Moore for the Fry Foundry in 1766, revived by Stevenson, Blake in 1909. The paper is Zerkall, supplied by John Purcell Paper of Stockwell. Covers were hand made at the Two Rivers Paper Mill of Watchet.
