One of 2050 numbered copies signed by King and the illustrator Don Maitz. King called this a "mirror" of the novel The Regulators, published under the Richard Bachman pseudonym. The two books share characters but not in exactly the same fictional universes. A TV movie adaptation was aired on the ABC network in 2006; it was directed by Mick Garris and starred Ron Pearlman. Due to a typesetting error, several lines of text were omitted from the book and an errata slip was given to the people who ordered copies. First edition (first printing).
