The Ingoldsby Legends Thomas Ingoldsby

Illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Green cloth boards with gilt illustrations have been rebacked to style with matching plain green cloth with original spine laid in at front endpapers. Gilt titling and illustrations at front and back cover are rubbed but still bright and lovely. Boards are a bit scratched, rubbed, and soiled with bumped corners, lower edges shelf worn, and edge of front cover a bit frayed on lower half. A damp stain or other stain at top of front cover edge near title. Brittle endpapers are age-toned with chips and a closed 1" torn triangle to rear free endpaper. Previous owner's name in ink to FFEP, dated 1900. Small Brentano's label to rear pastedown. Interior is age-toned but rather clean, with no obvious foxing.
