Note: Plates only, six missing. Thirty three of the full set of thirty nine pages of b/w engraving plates, taken from an original volume which was falling apart. Included is the 'List of Plates' showing the names of all 39 'Beauties', the twelve different artists (inc. Corbaux, Meadows, Stone, Wood etc.) and the twelve different engravers (inc. Ryall, Finden, Mote, Artlett etc.). All unbound edges are gilt, some age toning and staining, especially to list page, which also has some binding edge loss, nicks and tears up to 10mm. The plate pages show varying amounts of age toning, staining and edge wear, but all the plates themselves appear untarnished except for No. 15 (Gulnare) which has pencilled letters around the plate edge. 238 x 167mm, 34pp.
