Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. An acceptable condition complete set of two books. These are ex-library copies with the usual amount of stamps. No dust jackets. The copies are both bound in green but not uniform, with Volume 1 dated 1869 published by Macmillan and volume 2 dated 1864 published by Chapman and Hall. Both show some shelf wear and darkening to the spines and with volume 1 this is more pronounced with curved board corners. Volume 1 has a brittle binding and the textblock has split into two sections hence acceptable. Volume 2's binding is sound. Volume 1 has torn and dog-eared preliminaries and then the contents tidy up considerably, with the internal contents showing only mild tanning and handling. Volume 2 is similar but with even sturdier and brighter pages. Both have settled dust on the outer textblock edges and occasionally the margins. All text is legible and nicely unfaded. Volume 2 is in Good condition by itself, but in the pair volume 1 is a reading and reference copy only. More photographs by request. Good reading copies of a scarce pair of books.
