From the introduction: "Shortly after L. Ron Hubbard described the Thetan: 'The Thetan is a glowing unit of energy source, he seems to himself to be anything from a quarter of an inch to two inches in diameter,' (HubbardScientology 8-80Page 54) and a Phoenix Correspondent commented that a Thetan rather resembles a vitamin capsule, certain members of the Denver Group became aware of and began chronicling the manifestations of Thetans in the vicinity."
