No markings or inscriptions. Bound in original tan/brown cloth with green, printed spine labels. The labels are a little chipped but largely complete. The cloth is darkened/patinated with age and handling; top edge a little dusty. The contents are very clean, and the hinges very strong. Vol. I contains: The Dog; The Wolf; The Hyaena; The Lion; The Tiger; The Camel; The Llama; The Giraffe; Antelopes; Deer. Vol. II is entirely devoted to the elephant. Vol. I published 1829; Vol. II 1831. Published under the superintendence of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge; pp. 4 catalogue at end of Vol. I; pp. 14 at front of vol. II. Many engravings. A lovely, original set.
