Original light green cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, front cover lettered and decorated in black and gilt, illustrated endpapers. Frontispiece, title page vignette, illustrated endpapers, and front cover design by Herbert Cole. Neat contemporary gift inscription to half-title. Cloth lightly bumped and cockled, slightly foxing to edges and occasionally to contents, gutter cracked between a few gatherings but sound. A very good copy.
