The cover only lists the first essay, and with the presence of only that title almost makes this installment look like a pocket travel guide extolling the wonders of Motor City, whereas Meyers' essay was actually a dark assessment of the failures of Detroit. Though not listed on the cover, this installment in the series also prints T. Headen's exposé of Ford and his auto plants. The decision to omit the title from the packaging seems to suggest that the book was aimed to surprise covertly, and to expose these radical texts to a larger audience. Some light fading to wraps and a touch of rubbing along spine. Very good.
