Octavo (9 x 5). 144 pp. Inscribed to Bob Wethern and with a drawing showing a fish rising to a fly by the book's designer and illustrator, Alan Pratt. With two letters laid-in. One from Alan Pratt to Bob Wethern, the other from Bob to Alan. Color plates. Black and white photos. Text illustrations. A fine history of the club; the book was published on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. For those who may be unfamiliar with Alan Pratt, he was a long-time cartoonist with The Seattle Times as well an illustrator of several books and a fine fly fisherman. The late Bob Wethern was a distinguished man of letters and one of the founding members of the Flyfishers Club of Oregon. Mr. Wethern also served as acquisitions editor for the Champoeg Press of Forest Grove and in that role was the talented and driving force directing the publication of several well-known works, including two by the late George Grant. The book is bound in burgundy pebbled cloth with gilt titles. The book is fine and the letters nearly so.
