Free of repairs or restoration.Printed on robust heavy grade paper, blank verso. Approx. 21.5" x 14.5" (540mm x 370mm) overall. He worked alongside other artists including his wife Elizabeth, William Hart, Henry Richter, Joseph Wolf and the multi-talented Edward Lear. The magnificent plates are appreciated as much for their artistic quality as for their ornithological accuracy and many reproductions flood the market. The original work offered here is of course to be greatly valued and Gould bird prints are widely collected and make a sound investment.
