This color-coded world map shows the general persuasion of each nation's involvement in the early years of the Second World War (July, 1941). An azimuthal equidistant projection, defined in the upper left, presents the globe with a distorted perspective designed to highlight distances by air and sea. U.S. Lend-Lease routes, military missions, and financial aid are also noted according to the legend it the lower right. Created by the talented cartographer Richard Edes Harrison and published in a 1941 edition of Fortune Magazine Sheet Width (in) 22.5 Sheet Height (in) 13.9 Condition Description Two sheets from Fortune Magazine attached along centerfold with archival tape on the verso. Several small spots of image loss along the central seam. Toning along the outer edges of the sheet. About good condition overall.
