First edition, first impression - a notably bright example. Very Good+: firm and square binding in vibrant red cloth; a faint stain by the fore-edge of the lower board; a trace of toning to the spine and a couple of tiny marks to the cloth; tanned to the edge of the page block; a bookplate and set of ink initials to the front pastedown, alongside a solitary word and contemporary date in faded ink to the ffep ('Lewis 8.12.38'); a trace of scattered spotting to the bottom-edge of the closed block and a few minor isolated spots or marks to the pages, but otherwise crisp and clean. Lacking the original dustwrapper (of course). All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
