A circular issued by the group soliting membership after three years in existence, signed in print by the CPP Corresponding Secretary, Julie Millstein. The letter outlines the aims and accomplishments of the group in the previous three years, including their participation at the Spring Joint Computer Conference and ACM '70. The letter notes that the group is currently investigation surveillance and privacy issues, and "raising bail for Clark Squire, a programmer who is one of the Black Panthers currently on trial in New York City for conspiracy. Squire, later known as Sundiata Acoli, had been a computer analyst at NASA before the assassination of MLK led him to join the Black Panther Party. Acoli was arrested as one of the Panther 21, and Computer People for Peace were successful in raising $50,000 dollars for his bail, though the judge ruled against the attempt. The only example of the leaflet we've seen, and a fascinating link between computer activism and the Black Panther Party. Fine.
