Twenty-five photographs, mostly 4 x 6" silver gelatin monochrome prints, with one 3 1/2 x 5" color print, all with the address label of one Margaret Youngren, in Mount Carmel, Illinois. An unusual collection of photographs which appear to document an amateur fashion show, with many of the models named in pencil at verso. It is unclear whether these fashions were designed by Margaret Youngren, or various designers. The outfits are amazing, and several of them share an avant-garde, diy sensibility that seems at odds with the demure dress and demeanor of the audience. A gorgeous and mysterious assemblage. Generally near fine to fine, with some minor creasing to some photos.
