Publisher's brown cloth, elaborately titled and decorated in black and gilt to spines and uppers. Floral patterned endpapers. Spotting to edges and endpapers, otherwise internally crisp and clean. Light wear to cloth only. Near fine. Best known for 'London Old and New' (1878), Walford taught briefly at Tonbridge School in Kent, later becoming editor of 'The Gentleman's Magazine' and 'The Antiquary'.
