The story is accompanied by superb line drawings by Franciszka Themerson. One of the great children's books from the avant-garde. The book was later reissued in a substantially different design from the Themerson's own Gaberbocchus Press four years later. This first edition is now rare. Boards a touch darkened, more pronounced at the spine, which shows a little rubbing. Very good.
