Beautifully bound in full leather. Original binding with raised panel covers with bright gilt central cross; spine with original ornate gilt panels offset by raised bands. All edges gilt. The entire Bible in the venerable Douay Version with Challoner annotations and a variety of extra features: 12 full page plates plus two full color plates and many in-text illustrations; a History of the Bible section; two cardboard photo-insert leaves at end and moiré endpapers. Interior bright very clean with virtually no flaws. No writing except for brief inscription on rear pastedown. Occasional slight loss of gilt to spine, neatly replaced. Corners lightly bumped.
