In the original polished calf over boards with gilt lettered red Morocco label on spine. Front board detached with a piece of leather (size of a quarter) missing at top margin. Rear board holding with one original band, with some leather loss around top clasp. Both clasps are missing, spine extremities with short tears. p. xiii with a two-inch closed tear at lower gutter (no loss of text). Ownership inscription of Eliza Hunsinger on front pastedown. Leaves uniformly toned with a few minor spots of stain/foxing, top margins of preliminary leaves (up to about p. 5 damp stained). Still a handsome book in good condition.
