This original CDV portrait is classic Charles Eisenmann photography. Mr. & Mrs. A. Myers are posed in the studio amidst ornate Victorian furniture. Mrs. Myers sports an impressive beard and mustache. Eisenmann had an arrangement with the showman P. T. Barnum to photograph the human oddities or "freaks" that Barnum exhibited at his American museum. 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" with a printed backmark of "Chas. Eisenmann Photographer No. 229 Bowery". Pencil notations identify sitters. Condition: Very good condition.
