Air travel is, ideally, supposed to be an enjoyable experience for the leisure traveller and at least a fast and efficient one for those travelling because they have to - either on business or for another given reason. Unfortunately, real life experience shows that there are many variables that can get massively in the way of such aspiration. Some aspects are, obviously, completely out of your control – such as industrial action or adverse weather conditions – but many others can be positively influenced by savvy travel planning and behaviour.
