The Love Book Kandel, Lenore Poetry

Collection of four psychedelic erotic poems by Leonore Kandel (1932-2009) that led to an obscenity trial. This is a later printing of the First Edition, with a blue overprinting to the figures on the front cover.In May 1967, a jury in San Francisco found the book obscene and fined booksellers from the Psychedelic Shop and City Lights. Perhaps not surprisingly, that only made the book more popular. By the end of May, sales of The Love Book "had skyrocketed from a few dozen to at least twenty thousand."
