No date but believed c.1910). Hardback: single edition. The original blue/grey cloth covers, with art-nouveau illustrations are still bright on the front board; those on the spine just a little faded. A few tiny marks to the corner of the front cover. Hinges sound, though rear starting. Gilt to both top and bottom of page block and cover titles. Previous owner’s signature to the front free end paper, otherwise clean of inscriptions. All colour plates present. A few foxing spots to the frontispiece tissue-guard and minor spotting to both sets of end papers which has spread to the last text page, which has also acquired a small dark mark (c. 1 inch long-remains of a burnt match stick?). Still an outstandingly well-preserved copy of this attractive larger-format gift-book for children. Please note that if ordering from abroad, any customs charge will be the responsibility of the buyer. All proceeds of sale go to LOROS, a Hospice Charity serving Leicestershire and Rutland
