This issue includes three notices offering rewards for runaway slaves: (1) $30 reward for information leading to apprehension of George Emory, a yellow man about 22 years old, formerly stout but now much reduced by ague --last column on third page; (2) $20-40 for capture and jailing of Polly, a yellow woman about 24 who allegedly took with her two frocks and a pair of purple morocco shoes -- first column on fourth page; and (3) $50 reward and all reasonable charges securing in a jail so that his owner can get him for Ephraim , a dark mulatto man about 21, fond of talking (with a lisp) and reading advertisements -- second column on last page. Also an advertisement offering for sale "a likely, honest and faithful mulatto girl, 16 years old -- slave for life. Want of employment is only reason of parting with her. Price 250 dolls." -- bottom of last column on third page.
