Published in 1865, this is a revised edition of this book on the Scottish port town of Leith, just outside Edinburgh, bound in the original red cloth with paper spine title label, 7 inches tall approx., 380 pages. The covers are rubbed with some small edge bumps, light fraying wear to spine ends and corners, internally an old label to front pastedown (pictured) pages are evenly lightly browned throughout. A number of pages remain uncut along top and leading edges ( see pictures) This is best resolved using the edge of a credit or bank card to slide along the edges when pages are closed. The use of a sharp knife will most likely result in an uneven edge, a blunt edge like a bank card will produce a better result. Else in good general condition
