The folding maps are folded and free of tearing. With clear mylar wrapper. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: The regiment was organized in January 1862 at Washington, D.C., from the 4th Connecticut Infantry Regiment. Most of their service was in the defense of Washington; but did participate in the organization and operations of the siege trains used throughout the Eastern Theater. In addition, detached companies participated in multiple battles throughout the theater. This is a high-quality publication with the large folding maps, the photographic plates also add value, as well as portraits and the added 57 pg appendix with roster.
