The Priory Whipple, Dorothy

The spine of the boards is faded. Bumping to edges and corners. Page edges are browned and spotted. Endpapers are browned and spotted and there is light staining to the top edges of the pages. Previous owners bookplate, designed by Robert Gibbings, on the front pastedown. Pages are browned with brown spots on the pages at the front and back of the book. There is some spotting in a few places through the book and the book has a slight musty smell but the pages but are otherwise generally unmarked. Jacket is discoloured with heavy brown staining to the spine and brown spotting to the rear panel. Edges have heavy chipping with a half inch piece missing from the top of the spine. Jacket has had extensive repairs with tape to the reverse of the spine and there are pieces of tape along many of the other edges. First printing.
