Signed on the limitation page by TS Eliot, the translator of this epic poem written by Saint-John Perse. Number 149 of 350 numbered copies, printed on hand-made paper. Top edge gilt; fore-edge deckled. TS Eliot was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948; Saint-John Perse was awarded the same prize in 1960. The book is in near fine to fine condition. Internally very clean, with light off-setting to the endpapers, pictured; possibly a pencilled inscription rubbed out on front free endpaper, very faint. Light rubbing and discolouration to the spine ends, otherwise the green cloth of the boards is very presentable. With an acetate jacket, chipped at a few corners and the top of the spine.
