Ultimately now seen as a hoax, this is the account of the supposed voyage of the aristocratic venetian brothers across the North Atlantic and ultimately to what is now known as North America. Includes several maps within the text along with facsimilies of original work in Italian and eighteen plates of maps at the rear of the book. xiv+233+36 (plates pages at end of book). Book has been rebound in three-quarter blue leather with blue cloth to remainder along with gilt lettering to spine and gilt bordering to the leather covered areas. Light stains to the cloth on the boards and a light bow to the lower board. End papers are blue marbled.
